- Protection of vital interests
You may withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent, without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
4 In-App Purchases and Payment Information
Honey Inc. may offer in-app purchases and virtual currency through third-party platforms, including:
- Apple App Store
- Google Play Store
- Other authorized payment providers we may use in the future
We do not generally receive or store full payment card or bank account details. Payment processing is handled by the applicable platform or payment processor according to their privacy policies.
We may receive transaction-related information (such as purchase identifiers, product IDs, purchase time, and subscription status) necessary to verify purchases, prevent fraud, and provide purchased or unlocked content.
5 Advertising
Honey Inc. may display advertisements provided by third-party advertising partners, including Google AdMob (rewarded and interstitial formats).
Advertising partners may collect information such as:
- Advertising identifiers
- Device information
- IP address
- Usage and ad interaction information
- Approximate location derived from IP address
This information may be used to:
- Deliver and measure advertisements
- Prevent advertising fraud
- Provide personalized advertising where permitted by law and your device settings
On iOS, tracking for personalized ads may be limited unless you grant permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework where we implement it. You may also limit personalized advertising through your device settings (for example, “Limit Ad Tracking” on iOS or ad personalization settings on Android).
When you complete rewarded advertisements, we may log reward details and watch duration on our servers to grant in-game benefits and maintain fair use limits.
6 Analytics
We use analytics and operational data to understand how players use the Services and to keep them running reliably. This may include:
- Device and app information
- Session and gameplay behavior
- Feature usage and progression metrics
- Crash, error, and performance data from our service providers
Primary systems involved in understanding usage today include our own server logs (Firebase Cloud Functions and Firestore), advertising partner reporting (AdMob), and analytics or diagnostics tools we enable from time to time. Analytics data helps us improve performance, functionality, security, and player experience.
7 Cookies and Similar Technologies
Honey Inc. is primarily a mobile application. We and our partners may use technologies such as:
- Software development kits (SDKs)
- Local and on-device storage
- Pixels or similar technologies in linked web pages (if any)
- Cookies, where you access web-based portions of the Services
These technologies help us:
- Operate the Services and maintain sessions
- Remember preferences and game progress
- Analyze usage and diagnose problems
- Improve functionality
- Measure advertising performance
You may manage certain tracking or advertising preferences through your device or account settings and, where applicable, in-app choices.
8 Sharing of Information
We may share information with:
Service Providers
Companies that assist us with hosting, cloud infrastructure, authentication, databases, analytics, customer support, security, payment processing, advertising, and communications. These providers process information on our behalf under contractual obligations appropriate to their role.
Key categories of providers for Honey Inc. include Google (Firebase, AdMob, Google Sign-In), Apple (Sign in with Apple), and mobile app store operators.
Business Transfers
If Honey Inc. is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, asset sale, reorganization, or similar transaction, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law.
Legal Requirements
We may disclose information when required by law or when we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to:
- Comply with legal obligations or lawful requests
- Protect the rights, property, or safety of Honey Inc., our users, or others
- Investigate fraud, security issues, or abuse
- Enforce our agreements and policies
With Your Consent
We may share information for other purposes when you provide consent or direct us to do so.
9 International Data Transfers
Your information may be processed and stored in countries other than your country of residence, including countries where our service providers operate (for example, the United States and countries where Google cloud regions are located). Our Firebase Cloud Functions for Honey Inc. are configured in the europe-west1 region; other Firebase services may process data in additional locations according to Google's infrastructure.
Where required by law, we implement appropriate safeguards for international transfers, which may include standard contractual clauses, adequacy decisions, or other legally recognized mechanisms.
10 Data Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to:
- Provide the Services
- Fulfill the purposes described in this Policy
- Comply with legal obligations
- Resolve disputes and enforce agreements
- Maintain security and prevent abuse
Retention periods vary by data type. For example, account and gameplay data may be kept while your account is active; certain transaction or anti-fraud records may be retained longer where required by law or legitimate business need. Guest data stored only on your device is removed when you uninstall the app or clear app data, subject to how your device handles storage.
11 Children's Privacy
Honey Inc. is not directed toward children under the age required by applicable law in their jurisdiction without appropriate parental consent.
If we become aware that personal information has been collected from a child without required consent, we will take reasonable steps to delete the information.
Parents or guardians who believe their child has provided personal information may contact us at [email protected].
Additional Protections for Minors
Where required by applicable law:
- Personalized advertising may be disabled or limited for minors.
- Data collection may be restricted.
- Additional parental controls may be provided.
12 Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights including:
To exercise these rights, contact us using the details in Section 20. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.
13 California Privacy Rights
For residents of California, applicable laws may provide additional rights regarding personal information, including rights to:
- Know what personal information is collected, used, shared, or sold
- Request deletion of personal information
- Correct inaccurate personal information
- Opt out of certain sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising, where applicable
- Limit the use of sensitive personal information where applicable
Requests may be submitted through the contact information in Section 20. We will not discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights.
14 European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland
Individuals located in these regions may have rights under applicable privacy laws, including access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
Our legal bases for processing are described in Section 3. You may contact your local data protection authority if you believe your rights have been violated.
15 Security
We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.
However, no method of electronic storage or transmission over the Internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
16 Third-Party Services
Honey Inc. may contain links to third-party websites, services, or applications, or integrate third-party sign-in, payment, or advertising services.
We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties. Users should review the privacy policies of those third parties before providing information to them.
17 User Account Deletion
You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.
Deleting from inside the app (primary method)
Open Honey, Inc. and tap the gear icon in the bottom action bar, scroll to Account, and tap Delete Account. Review what will be removed, tap Delete Account again, then press and hold the confirm button for two seconds. Your account and data are erased immediately and the app returns to the sign-in screen. This is fully self-service and does not require contacting us.
If you no longer have the app installed
Submit a request at honeyinc.app/request-deletion.html. Requests are processed within 30 days and confirmed by email to the address you provide.
What is deleted
- Your account and its sign-in link (Apple or Google)
- Your farm progress — money, buildings, bees and vehicles
- All research and honey types you have unlocked
- Honeycombs, Royal Jellies and every boost you own
- Your leaderboard entry and your referral code
- Mail, news and notification history
- Your cloud save, and the data held on your device
What we retain
We will delete or anonymize personal information associated with your account, except where we must retain certain information for legal compliance, dispute resolution, security, anti-fraud purposes, or enforcement of our agreements. Specifically, we retain:
- A record that an account was deleted, and when. It contains no name, email or contact details, and is kept to handle disputes and prevent abuse.
- Advertising-verification records with the link to you removed, so fraudulent reward claims cannot be replayed.
- Aggregated, non-identifying analytics that were never linked to your account.
Purchases are not refunded by deleting your account, and purchase records are held by Apple or Google rather than by us — contact the relevant store to manage those.
Guest accounts
Guest progress is stored on your device and is never uploaded to a cloud save. Using Delete Local Data in Settings erases it immediately and also removes the anonymous account identifier we hold for your device. Because a guest account has no email or sign-in for us to verify against, guest deletion can only be performed from inside the app.
18 Do Not Track
Some browsers and devices provide “Do Not Track” or similar signals. Because there is no universally accepted standard for responding to these signals across all platforms, Honey Inc. may not respond to all such requests in every context. You can manage advertising and tracking preferences through your device settings as described in this Policy.
19 Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
When changes are made:
- The “Last Updated” date at the top will be revised.
- Significant changes may be communicated through the Services, app store listings, or other appropriate means.
Continued use of the Services after the effective date of an updated Policy constitutes acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy, except where further consent is required by law.
